America’s Violinist™, Jenny Oaks Baker, is a Grammy nominated, Billboard No. 1 performer and recording artist. She received her Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School and her Bachelor’s degree from The Curtis Institute of Music. Jenny has performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Library of Congress, and as a guest soloist with the The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, and the Jerusalem, Pittsburgh, Utah, Baltimore, and National Symphonies. Jenny has released over twenty albums, including her latest, The Redeemer Deluxe Edition, which have sold over a million copies and consistently chart on Billboard. Music from her Grammy nominated album, Wish Upon a Star is featured at Disney World and Disneyland to introduce the nightly fireworks show.
In her efforts to share the light of Christ with more of God’s children, Jenny has begun producing and touring inspirational shows throughout the world. She also recently founded SoulFill Music Foundation to enable her faith-based productions, educational initiatives and musical diplomacy endeavors to reach wider audiences and bring more communities together. This classical masterpiece is a glorious celebration of the pivotal moments in Jesus Christ's life.
The original The Redeemer album was released in 2022. It began as a ten-song album for violin, orchestra, and choir. After performing the music live, Grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker and her longtime collaborator, Emmy-award winning composer, arranger, and producer Kurt Bestor, felt inspired to expand the project to highlight the most pivotal episodes of the Savior's life. They chose either beloved hymns or original melodies to highlight each of these episodes, taking it from 10 tracks to 19 tracks and 78 minutes of music.
For this Deluxe Edition, Kurt composed eight additional movements to highlight more of the Savior's life and mission (including a gorgeous original baptism movement and a gloriously rearranged Hallelujah Chorus movement to represent the Ascension). His masterful work brings together the perfect elements of additional choir, vocal soloist parts, and orchestra additions to maximize the production's emotional impact.
the album features inspired brilliant reworkings of three classical masterpieces-Gounod's "O Divine Redeemer" and two selections from Handel's Messiah. Kurt also created emotional and stunning new original compositions for this edition including "Gethsemane: From Every Pore" and "Spirit World: In Paradiso."
